Un aliment pe care îl avem aproape zilnic în farfurie ar putea proteja ficatul

A controlled study suggests that daily consumption of raw tomatoes and tomato sauce may help reduce liver fat in individuals with MASLD. The research involved 79 adults diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, who were divided into two groups for six weeks. One group consumed tomatoes while the other did not. Although liver steatosis decreased in both groups, the reduction was more significant in those who ate tomatoes. However, researchers noted no significant differences in lipid levels, liver enzymes, or body mass index between the groups. Limitations include a short intervention period and a predominantly male sample, raising questions about the generalizability of the findings.
