On Sunday, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Vrancea seismic zone, Buzău County, followed by another quake of 3.1 magnitude earlier that day. Both quakes were deep, with the first at 124.7 km and the second at 114.6 km. The region has experienced several minor quakes recently, including two on Saturday morning, with magnitudes of 3.5 and 2.9. The strongest quake this year was a 4.5 magnitude event on February 26 in the same area.
