Un aeroport folosit de mii de români se închide complet. Zborurile vor fi suspendate aproape trei luni

Brussels South Charleroi Airport will close for 11 weeks in 2028 for runway repairs and infrastructure upgrades, affecting millions of passengers. The closure is scheduled from August 15 to October 31, 2028, to allow for comprehensive renovations of the aging runway and other infrastructure improvements. The airport aims to minimize disruption by coordinating major projects during this period. With over 11.2 million passengers in 2025, the temporary closure could impact more than two million travelers. Concerns have been raised about airlines potentially not returning post-renovation, and unions are calling for a joint plan to protect jobs and maintain airline operations. Ryanair has already reduced its presence in Belgium, citing increased boarding fees as a factor.
