Ultimatum pentru TAROM: dacă nu demonstrează viabilitate, Comisia Europeană va retrage ajutorul de stat
The European Commission will withdraw state aid for TAROM if the airline fails to demonstrate viability by December 2026. Interim Transport Minister Radu Miruță emphasized the need for a revised restructuring plan, following mismanagement of the previous one. The new leadership aims to update the business model and address challenges like high fuel prices and aircraft delivery delays. Miruță stated that TAROM should not go bankrupt and that the Romanian state must find solutions for its recovery. The restructuring plan includes a total aid of up to €95.3 million, with specific conditions to reduce the fleet and routes.
