ULBS a pierdut peste 50 de cadre didactice în mai puțin de 2 ani. Rectorul Sorin Radu: „Suntem de-a dreptul sugrumați”
The University of "Lucian Blaga" in Sibiu faces a significant staff shortage as it begins the new academic year, with a ratio of about 1,060 employees to 16,000 students. Rector Sorin Radu highlighted the imbalance and emphasized the need for more human resources, rejecting claims that universities are overstaffed. He called for the reopening of competitions for various positions, both teaching and administrative, due to the overwhelming workload. Additionally, the number of tenured faculty has decreased, with 680 current faculty members, including many on temporary contracts, marking a loss of over 50 tenured staff in just a year and a half. This decline is linked to increased workload and staff departures in recent years.
