A 31-year-old Ugandan citizen was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone in Sector 4 of the Capital. The 30-year-old suspect, already under judicial control for another case, was apprehended and placed in preventive detention for 30 days. The incident occurred early Friday morning when the victim was approached by the suspect, who requested a ride. At a traffic light, the suspect asked for the victim's phone to make a call, then used physical violence to steal it and fled. The victim pursued him, and the suspect eventually abandoned the phone nearby. Police quickly arrested the suspect, who was already under electronic monitoring. Investigations are ongoing for aggravated robbery.
