This suspension specifically targets the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), while direct payments from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) remain unaffected. The Commission's assessment indicates that Babis's situation poses a significant risk of conflict regarding the management of cohesion policy and agricultural funds.
