UE suspendă o parte din plăţile agricole către Cehia din cauza unui posibil conflict de interese - Economica.net
The European Commission has suspended part of the agricultural aid to the Czech Republic due to a potential conflict of interest involving Prime Minister Andrej Babis. This suspension specifically targets the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), while direct payments from the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) remain unaffected. The Commission's assessment indicates that Babis's situation poses a significant risk of conflict regarding the management of cohesion policy and agricultural funds. Authorities in the Czech Republic are urged to take appropriate measures to prevent such conflicts. Until then, no operational expenses related to cohesion funds involving entities linked to Babis can be declared. The Commission will closely monitor the management of the current system and any changes.
