UE și India, mai aproape de cel mai mare acord comercial încheiat vreodată

The European Commission has proposed to the Council the signing of a free trade agreement with India, which would be the largest trade deal for both parties. This agreement aims to enhance economic relations and facilitate European companies' access to the Indian market. It is expected to improve market access, reduce tariffs, and eliminate trade barriers, benefiting both businesses and consumers. The deal could save around 4 billion euros annually in customs duties for EU exports to India. The proposal is part of a strategy to strengthen economic ties with key Indo-Pacific partners amid global trade uncertainties. The agreement requires approval from the EU Council and the European Parliament, while India will follow its own ratification process.
