The European Commission and the IMF aim to enhance cooperation on labor market policies amid rapid changes due to artificial intelligence. Roxana Mînzatu and Kristalina Georgieva discussed the need for dynamic education systems to prepare workers for new job requirements. They emphasized the importance of anticipating labor market shifts to facilitate smoother transitions for workers between jobs. Mînzatu highlighted that AI could impact around 60% of jobs, not necessarily eliminating them but transforming how work is coordinated. The meeting was part of Mînzatu's visit to the U.S. focused on education and future work in the AI era.
