UE schimbă regulile pentru mașinile vechi. Ce obligații apar pentru producători și proprietari

New European regulations on recycling and treatment of end-of-life vehicles will take effect on August 13. The aim is to enhance the reuse and recycling of automotive components, reduce waste, and limit reliance on imported raw materials. Each year, 10 to 12 million vehicles in Europe reach the end of their life cycle, representing a significant source of valuable raw materials. The regulations will promote the recovery of metals and plastics, support the European industry, and create business opportunities across the supply chain. Manufacturers will need to provide clear instructions for dismantling vehicles, and new mandatory targets for recycled plastic content will be introduced. Export of vehicles will be restricted to those meeting specific technical requirements.
