UE ridică nivelul de alertă în fața Rusiei. Diplomații Moscovei ar putea avea nevoie de autorizații pentru a circula în Europa

The European Union is considering additional restrictions on Russian diplomats' movements amid rising hybrid attacks linked to Moscow. Discussions are in early stages and could lead to new sanctions against Russia. EU diplomats are concerned about the potential involvement of Russian diplomats in hybrid operations and sabotage. Currently, a monitoring mechanism requires Russian diplomats to notify their travel plans 24 hours in advance. However, member states can implement stricter controls, requiring prior authorization for transit. Recent incidents, including the expulsion of Russian diplomats by Hungary and attacks linked to Russia, have heightened concerns. The EU aims to respond to Russia's actions while respecting the Vienna Convention.
