UE pregătește impunerea unei limite de vârstă pe TikTok și Instagram, așa numitul KIDS Act

The European Commission is set to introduce the KIDS Act, establishing a common minimum age for social media access across EU member states. This legislation will also impose additional obligations on tech companies, extending beyond social media to include video-sharing platforms and AI chatbots. The proposal aims to enhance child safety online, incorporating a 'safe by design' principle for digital products. Discussions have included a gradual access system for younger children and the potential for new oversight mechanisms. The KIDS Act will transform recommendations from a special expert group into legislative proposals, pending negotiations with the European Parliament and member states.
