UE plafonează la 350.000 pe an importurile de mașini hibride din China

The European Union will limit the import of hybrid electric vehicles from China to 350,000 per year, affecting both Chinese and European manufacturers. This cap aims to reduce China's market share in the EU, which currently stands at 6%. The measure, part of a recent agreement with China, will take effect in December and is based on World Trade Organization safeguards. Vehicles exceeding the quota will not incur additional taxes but will be held at customs. The EU is also negotiating further trade terms with China, including tariff reductions on various goods. Concerns over trade imbalances and industrial decline have prompted the EU to shift focus from increasing exports to limiting imports.
