UE investește 10 miliarde de euro în șapte „gigafabrici” de inteligență artificială pentru a reduce decalajul față de SUA și China
The European Commission has launched a €10 billion funding program to build seven AI gigafactories, aiming to enhance the EU's technological autonomy. This initiative is expected to attract an additional €20 billion from private investors, raising the total to nearly €30 billion. The program is part of the EU's strategy to strengthen technological sovereignty amid concerns over reliance on external services. Each facility will feature at least 100,000 state-of-the-art AI chips, significantly increasing the EU's processing power. The initiative also aims to ensure compliance with European data protection and cybersecurity standards.
