UE încasează încă 1,4 miliarde de euro din activele rusești înghețate pentru sprijinirea Ucrainei

The European Union has received an additional 1.4 billion euros from profits generated by frozen Russian assets, aimed at supporting Ukraine. This marks the fifth transfer of its kind, with total profits from these assets reaching around 8 billion euros since their freezing. Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that these funds will aid Ukraine in its resistance against Russian aggression. Most of the amount will be allocated through the Ukraine Loan Cooperation Mechanism, while a smaller portion will support urgent military needs. The decision to use these profits for Ukraine was formalized in 2024, with long-term restrictions on returning assets to Russia.
