UE extinde sancțiunile împotriva Rusiei și adaugă aproape 1.600 de persoane și entități pe listă

The European Union has expanded sanctions against the network supporting Russia's military industry, targeting nearly 1,600 individuals and entities, primarily linked to ballistic missile production. The new measures aim to hinder Russia's ability to produce weapons and ammunition for the war in Ukraine by complicating access to industrial resources. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas emphasized that this is the largest single expansion of sanctions since the invasion began. The sanctions include companies from key sectors like aerospace and naval construction, aiming to weaken Russia's military production infrastructure. Additionally, discussions included hybrid threats from Moscow and security risks in the Black Sea region, with Romania advocating for new negotiation chapters for Moldova and Ukraine's EU accession.
