UE deschide o anchetă față de Booking.com: „Europenii ar trebui să își poată rezerva vacanțele fără teama de a fi înșelați”
The European Commission has launched an investigation into Booking.com to assess its measures against fraudulent listings and phishing attempts. This follows a preliminary review of risk assessments submitted by the platform. Under the Digital Services Act, large online platforms must actively combat illegal content or face fines up to 6% of their global annual revenue. The investigation will focus on fake listings, identity fraud, and the clarity of paid advertisements. Booking.com has stated its commitment to security and collaboration with authorities to combat online fraud.
