EU member states have agreed to unlock €6.6 billion from the European Peace Facility to support Ukraine, primarily for reimbursing arms deliveries. The announcement was made by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, highlighting that €900 million will enhance the EU Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine, while €1 billion will fund new joint equipment purchases. The funds were previously blocked due to disputes among member states, particularly involving Hungary's former Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The decision follows months of negotiations and aims to bolster military support for Ukraine amid ongoing hybrid attacks from Russia.
