The European Commission will transfer €3.3 billion to Ukraine for defense equipment, including drones and missiles, as part of a €90 billion loan package. This marks the fourth payment for defense under this loan, totaling nearly €15 billion for Ukraine this year. The funds aim to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities against Russian aggression. Additionally, a new joint program for air and missile defense is being considered, leveraging Ukraine's battlefield experience and Europe's industrial strength. Since the onset of the Russian invasion in 2022, the EU has provided Ukraine with €224.5 billion in aid.
