The European Commission urges member states to reduce gas and electricity consumption due to doubled energy prices and low gas storage levels. Despite the challenging situation, there are no immediate supply security risks. Currently, Europe's gas storage is at historical lows, with only 70% filled, below last year's levels. The EU aims for 90% storage by early November but allows for flexibility this year. Romania's gas storage is above the EU average, at 80.11%.
