UE caută o nouă modalitate de a folosi activele rusești înghețate pentru sprijinirea Ucrainei
The European Commission is revisiting options to use frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, following a previous blockage by Belgium. The Belgian government cited concerns over legal risks associated with such actions. As defense costs for Ukraine rise, discussions are ongoing to find a solution that would be more acceptable to Belgium. Sweden has also called for renewed debate on the issue. Supporters believe utilizing these assets could alleviate some financial burdens without additional national budget allocations. However, consensus among EU member states remains elusive, and any proposal would require unanimous support, particularly from Belgium.
