UE autorizează Ucraina să cumpere interceptoare Patriot cu bani din împrumutul european de 90 de miliarde de euro
The EU has approved Ukraine's purchase of Patriot missile interceptors using €3.2 billion from a financial assistance program. This program allows Ukraine to receive €60 billion for military purchases and €30 billion for budget deficits, repayable only if Russia pays war reparations. A condition of the loan is prioritizing EU-made equipment, but a waiver was granted for the Patriot interceptors due to limited availability of comparable European systems. Ukrainian President Zelensky has urged allies for more Patriot missiles, as current stocks are low. The funds could allow Ukraine to buy around 1,000 interceptors, but deliveries will take time.
