UE aprobă bani pentru rachete Patriot în Ucraina

The European Union has approved Ukraine's request to purchase missiles for its Patriot air defense systems as part of a €90 billion loan program for 2026-2027. Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the decision, emphasizing its importance for strengthening Ukraine's air defense ahead of winter. The next tranche of €3.2 billion will enhance Ukraine's ability to protect its airspace from Russian attacks, adding to the previously allocated €8.4 billion. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirmed the approval, highlighting the necessity of Patriot missiles for safeguarding civilians and critical infrastructure. France and Italy are also preparing to provide additional air defense systems to Ukraine.
