UE aprobă aproape 3 miliarde de euro pentru Ucraina

The European Council has approved nearly €3 billion in financial support for Ukraine, marking the eighth payment under the EU's Ukraine Mechanism. This includes €800 million from a new loan. Ukraine has successfully completed ten target milestones, achieving 84 out of 95 required steps. The funding aims to enhance Ukraine's macro-financial stability and support its public administration and reform efforts. Norway has contributed approximately €92 million as non-repayable aid, becoming the first non-EU country to do so. The Ukraine Mechanism, effective from March 1, 2024, plans to provide over €50 billion in grants and loans by 2027, with over €40 billion earmarked for reforms and investments related to Ukraine's recovery and EU accession.
