UE afirmă că n-a importat atât de multă energie din Rusia pe cât pretind Moscova și Washingtonul
The European Commission disputes claims from Moscow and Washington regarding energy imports from Russia, stating that the actual amount is significantly lower. According to the Commission, EU countries spent 197 billion euros on Russian energy from March 2022 to July 2026, contrasting with Russia's claim of 320.7 billion dollars. The EU emphasizes its efforts to reduce dependency on Russian energy through the REPowerEU program, which has led to a decrease in reliance from 42-45% in 2022 to 12% currently. These figures also challenge statements made by former President Trump about EU payments to Russia for energy.
