Ucraina vrea un prototip al sistemului antibalistic „Freyja” în 2027

Ukraine aims to complete the first functional prototype of the European missile defense system 'Freyja' by mid-2027, seeking an alternative to the American Patriot system. The project involves multiple European countries and defense companies, with a prototype expected to demonstrate initial results by early next year. The initiative, launched recently, includes collaboration with nations like Denmark, France, and Germany, addressing the shortage of available Patriot systems amid increased Russian attacks. Ukraine plans to contribute a launcher and interceptor missile, while also requesting European partners for technologies like radars and sensors. The industrial component will be coordinated by Fire Point, in partnership with German Hensoldt.
