Ucraina și Polonia vor să organizeze Campionatul Mondial de Fotbal / ”Cea mai apropiată dată disponibilă e undeva în anii 2040”

Ukraine and Poland are considering a joint bid to host a future FIFA World Cup, with plans already in discussion. Ukrainian Sports Minister Matvyi Bidnyi emphasized the need for early preparations, as the next available World Cup is projected for the 2040s. The two countries previously collaborated successfully for the UEFA Euro 2012. However, hosting the World Cup poses significant challenges due to ongoing conflict and infrastructure damage in Ukraine, particularly in regions like Donetsk. The idea was also discussed during the recent Ukraine Reconstruction Conference in Gdańsk. Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will host the 2030 tournament, while Saudi Arabia will host in 2034.
