Ucraina și Polonia vor o candidatură comună pentru găzduirea unei ediții viitoare a Cupei Mondiale FIFA

Ukraine and Poland are considering a joint bid to host a future FIFA World Cup edition, with plans already in discussion. The Ukrainian Sports Minister emphasized the need to prepare for the next available tournament in the 2040s. This potential collaboration draws on their previous successful partnership during the 2012 UEFA European Championship. However, the ongoing Russian invasion presents significant challenges, particularly regarding infrastructure, as exemplified by the damaged Donbas Arena. Discussions about this bid have also occurred during the recent Ukraine Reconstruction Conference in Gdańsk.
