Ucraina pregătește o centrală geotermală lângă România, cu ajutorul britanicilor. Tehnologia care ar putea accelera construcția - Economica.net
Ukraine is collaborating with British and Polish researchers on a geothermal power plant project in Slatina, Transcarpathia, near the Romanian border. The project, supported by Aberystwyth University and other partners, aims to develop a cutting-edge geothermal facility with an investment of approximately $37.8 million. It will have a capacity of 5 MW for electricity and 20 MW for heat, producing an estimated 32.85 GWh of electricity annually. The consortium seeks to reduce the typical exploration phase duration by at least two years using advanced mathematical modeling. This initiative aims to modernize Ukraine's energy infrastructure and could serve as a replicable model in the Carpathian region, including Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary.
