Ukrainian authorities plan to provide mobile shelters at border crossings with Poland, Romania, and Moldova by 2026, with EU funding support. The production of these shelters is currently a challenge due to high demand. Ukraine has received confirmation of EU assistance for acquiring shelters for about one-third of the border points. Additionally, Ukraine is requesting partners to help create a reserve of modular spaces for border guards and customs officials to quickly restore control after Russian attacks. Recent attacks have damaged several border points, highlighting the need for rapid response capabilities.
