Ukraine faces significant challenges in grain exports due to intensified Russian attacks on civilian ships and port infrastructure in Odesa. Despite efforts to find alternative routes, these will only reach maximum export capacity by late August, covering only half of the usual monthly volume. In July, Ukraine experienced numerous attacks on ships and port facilities, leading to a suspension of operations in Odesa ports. Without the main maritime corridor, Ukraine is collaborating with Romania and Moldova to enhance land and river logistics. If ports remain closed, millions of tons of agricultural products may be stranded, causing domestic prices to collapse.
