The Hungarian government insists on the implementation of commitments regarding the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine, which Kyiv has promised to uphold. While Hungary has allowed progress for Moldova, it remains cautious about separating the two candidates' paths to EU membership. The current Hungarian administration shows some flexibility but still opposes rapid accession for Ukraine.
