Ucraina a cerut bani pentru noi rachete Patriot. UE analizează solicitarea
Brussels is reviewing a new payment request from Kyiv for several billion euros to enhance Ukraine's air defense, including advanced Patriot missiles. Ursula von der Leyen announced this during a press conference with NATO's Secretary General. The exact amount remains undisclosed to avoid pressure on EU member states for approval. EU countries must approve a waiver for non-European defense supplies, while part of the funding may also come from NATO. Ukraine has requested around 2 billion euros for Patriot interceptors, but the main challenge is availability, not funding. Recent Russian air attacks have increased the urgency for these systems.
