TVA 9% la locuințe, prelungit până la 30 septembrie

The Senate has approved a law extending the deadline for eligible buyers to finalize home purchases with a 9% VAT until September 30, 2026, due to a cyber attack on ANCPI that disrupted real estate transactions. Interim Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare stated that this measure aims to help affected buyers avoid additional costs from administrative blockages. The law applies to those who signed preliminary sales contracts by July 31, 2025, allowing them to complete transactions without increased VAT. The cyber attack on ANCPI was announced on July 15, but the central cadastral database remains secure.
