„Tutto esaurito”. Psihoză la benzinării în sudul Italiei. Cozi uriașe și pompe goale

A fuel crisis has emerged in southern Italy, particularly in Cosenza, where many gas stations have run out of diesel. Panic ensued as drivers formed long queues at the pumps. The situation was exacerbated by protests from workers at the former Ilva steel plant, which blocked fuel deliveries from the Eni refinery in Taranto, affecting supply to Puglia, Basilicata, and Calabria. Over 50 out of 300 Eni stations are without fuel, and major supply issues have also been reported at Bari and Brindisi airports. Eni plans to resume partial deliveries on October 15, 2026, but normalcy remains uncertain. A massive strike by transporters is expected to worsen the situation due to record diesel prices exceeding 2.20 – 2.40 euros per liter.
