Starting August 1, Romanian tourists driving through Bulgaria will face a 30% increase in electronic vignette fees. This applies to all vehicles using national roads, regardless of their final destination. The new prices for vignettes range from €5.30 for a one-day vignette to €64.50 for an annual one. Additionally, fines for driving without a valid vignette have also risen. The electronic vignette system is monitored via surveillance cameras, and vignettes can be purchased online or through official apps. It's important to note that the vignette does not cover separate tolls for specific bridges or tunnels.
