Winter has arrived in the mountains of Romania, surprising tourists with significant snowfall. Heavy snow has led to the deployment of snow removal equipment for the first time this season. Tourists from warmer regions, like Italy, expressed their astonishment at the winter landscape, having just enjoyed beach weather. The snow depth reached 34 cm at Vârful Omu, with temperatures dropping to -7 degrees Celsius. Roads remain open but drivers are advised to prepare for winter conditions. A cyclone is expected to bring more rain and snow, particularly affecting the eastern part of the country.
