A French tourist suffered an ankle fracture while hiking in Romania and was rescued by mountain gendarmes. The 64-year-old woman was unable to move and called for help. Two gendarmerie teams responded, provided first aid, and stayed with her until medical assistance arrived. She was later taken to the hospital for further treatment.
