Alex Zodiașu, a tourist on the Via Transilvanica trail, shared his experiences on TikTok about the kindness of locals in Sibiu County. In Biertan and Copșa Mică, he received shelter from strangers who offered their homes even when they were away. He described how a homeowner provided him access to their property and kitchen while on vacation. This generosity was repeated in Copșa Mică, where he found more welcoming locals. To support tourists, special sleeping modules are being set up along the Via Transilvanica trail, with one already operational in Florești, Laslea commune.
