Craiova remains the main tourist center in Dolj, but visitor numbers have significantly decreased in 2023. Tourist arrivals dropped by 28.4% compared to 2022, with overnight stays down by 30.3%. The average stay was only 1.51 nights. Most visitors were attracted to Craiova, while other areas saw much lower numbers. Factors like reduced vacation vouchers and increased spending on foreign travel may contribute to this decline, though a direct causal relationship is not established.
