Turcia se reorientează către floarea-soarelui din România, în detrimentul mărfii din Rusia și Ucraina. În total, am asigurat 79% din exporturile totale ale UE - Economica.net

Romania benefits from Turkey's early reduction of import taxes on sunflower seeds, enhancing its export position in Europe. The USDA predicts increased demand from Turkey for EU sunflower imports, particularly from Romania and Bulgaria, due to supply challenges from Ukraine and Russia. Turkey has set a tariff quota of 1.25 million tons for this year and has reduced import taxes from 20% to 12% starting October 1. Romania has exported 79% of the EU's sunflower seed exports, with Turkey being the main destination. The USDA also forecasts a rise in processing demand in Romania and Bulgaria, with overall EU processing expected to increase by 3%. Despite unfavorable weather affecting yields in much of Europe, Romania and Bulgaria are projected to see significant production increases this year.
