Turcia adoptă o lege istorică pentru reintegrarea combatanților PKK

Turkey's parliament has passed a law aimed at reintegrating former PKK fighters into society, marking a significant step in the peace process. The law allows certain members who lay down arms to have their legal penalties suspended for five to ten years. If they do not commit further crimes, their cases may be dismissed. However, it does not grant amnesty for serious offenses. Approximately 3,500 former PKK members could benefit from this initiative. The law has been supported by the ruling AKP and the pro-Kurdish DEM party, amidst a divided public opinion on the reintegration of former combatants. The Turkish presidency hailed the law as a crucial move towards a terrorism-free Turkey.
