Cristian Pistol, the CEO of CNAIR, announced the completion of tunneling between Margina and Holdea on the A1 highway, with full concrete work expected by year-end. This marks a significant milestone for the Lugoj-Deva section, featuring Romania's longest highway tunnel. The project involved extensive labor and is now over 75% complete, with ongoing installation of safety systems. By mid-next year, uninterrupted traffic is anticipated from Boița to Nădlac, addressing a crucial gap in the A1 highway. The construction contract is valued at 1.82 billion lei, funded through PNRR.
