The Momaia Tunnel on the Sibiu-Pitești Highway has been completed, with work on Section 4 nearing 97% completion. New images were shared by CNAIR's director, Cristian Pistol, highlighting the progress. The tunnel, which is the first of its kind in Romania, is expected to open ahead of schedule, potentially this year. The project includes the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as operational buildings for the tunnel. If the contractor maintains the current pace, traffic could start on this section before the contractual deadline of February 2027.
