Tulcea a construit o navă de 200 milioane de dolari pentru Japonia

VARD Tulcea has completed the construction of the 'Discovery', Japan's largest cable-laying vessel, marking its first project for the Japanese market. The investment exceeds $200 million, and the vessel will support offshore wind energy infrastructure. After construction in Romania, it was equipped in Norway and delivered to Toyo Construction. The ship is designed for Japan's specific conditions and can operate in shallow and deep waters. It features a hybrid propulsion system and can carry up to 9,000 tons of cables. This delivery strengthens VARD's position in the offshore energy sector.
