Trump deschide două baze militare în Groenlanda, în urma unui acord istoric cu Danemarca

Donald Trump plans to reactivate a Cold War military base in southern Greenland and establish another on the east coast. A trilateral agreement between the US, Denmark, and Greenland is set to be signed today at the UN General Assembly. The agreement may involve US military bases near Narssarssuaq and Mestersvig, enhancing security in the Arctic and North Atlantic. The US previously had 17 military sites in Greenland during the Cold War, with only a space base remaining today. The deal includes conditions for US military expansion and Greenland's self-determination guarantees. Former US ambassador Carla Sands highlighted the strategic importance of Greenland and potential economic benefits for the island.
