Tronsonul 4 din autostrada Sibiu – Pitești va fi dat în folosință în octombrie / ”Lucrările au fost finalizate cu 6 luni înainte de termenul din contract”

The fourth section of the Sibiu-Pitești highway, between Curtea de Argeș and Tigveni, will be opened in October, marking a significant milestone for Romania's infrastructure. This section includes Romania's first drilled tunnel on a highway, measuring 1.35 km. The project faced complex challenges due to difficult terrain, including unstable hills and landslides. Key figures include 12 bridges, 660 concrete beams, and 120,000 tons of asphalt, with completion six months ahead of schedule. Testing and final approvals for the mountain sections are also expected in October.
