A growing trend among Generation Z is sending long voice messages, sometimes as lengthy as mini-podcasts, which irritates many Romanians. Nearly half of the population finds these messages too long, while about 40% send at least one daily. The pressure to listen and respond promptly is affecting social lives negatively, with 50% of Romanians feeling distracted and obligated to be constantly available. Generation Z particularly favors voice messages, often replacing written communication and even in-person meetings. Globally, 9 billion voice messages are sent daily, raising concerns about the balance between saving time and losing meaningful interactions.
