Tricoul purtat de Michael Jordan în finala NBA, vândut pentru suma record de 12.000.000$ • Newsweek România
A jersey worn by Michael Jordan during the 1998 NBA Finals sold for a record $12.26 million at auction, setting a new high for NBA memorabilia. The jersey, part of Jordan's final season with the Chicago Bulls, was auctioned by Ryan Groff through Joopiter, a platform founded by Pharrell Williams. Pre-auction estimates valued the jersey between $10 and $15 million. This sale surpassed the previous record of $10.09 million for another Jordan jersey from the same Finals series. While it is the most expensive basketball game-worn item, it ranks second overall in sports memorabilia, behind a Babe Ruth jersey sold for $24.12 million.
