Trenurile revin pe ruta Galați–Târgu Bujor după inundații
Rail traffic between Galați and Târgu Bujor resumed on October 14, 2024, after repairs from flood damage caused by storm Boris. The project cost nearly 56 million lei, funded by the state budget. Flooding affected 11 kilometers of railway, halting operations in 36 areas. Key repairs included clearing debris, reinforcing the railway bed, and replacing damaged tracks. The contractor for the project was the Arcada Company consortium. While repairs were ongoing, train services were limited to Chiraftei, with alternative road transport provided to Târgu Bujor and beyond. Work continues on the Târgu Bujor–Bârlad section to fully restore the CF 703 line.
